Application: Data Center
Location: Quincy, Washington
Equipment Summary:
One (1) Labyrinth Natural Ventilator 144” x 120’
Twelve (12) Labyrinth Natural Ventilators 8’-6” x 63’-1”
Project Profile:
Moffitt Corporation was approached by a local engineer and a local contractor to ventilate a new data center in Quincy, Washington.
Data centers are large rooms with dozens, if not hundreds, of computers. All of these computers run non-stop and host websites, complex internet applications, and other computer programs. All of the computers in a single area produce a lot of heat. Without proper ventilation, the computers would over heat and litterally melt themselves.
The Labyrinth is one of many natural ventilation products that Moffitt offers. It was ideal for this project due to high air flow coefficient and its lightweight design. The Labyrinth is constructed of aluminum, limiting the impact on the roof structure. It allowed a natural way for the hot air to rise out of the building.
Don’t Let a Lack of Ventilation Become a Failure Error. Let Moffitt Design the Ventilation on your Data Center; It’s the Natural Solution.
Client: World Kitchen
Application: Manufacturing Plant
Location: Corning, NY
Project Summary:
Retrofit project completed in 22 days with minimal disruption of production.
One (1) Monovent Natural Ventilator 110” x 180”
Thirty-Five (35) Wall Louvers - Average 121.88 sq. ft.
Project Profile:
The World Kitchen facility in Corning, NY manufactures dinnerware, baking accessories and glassware. This process produces extreme amounts of heat that need to be ventilated from the building. Moffitt was contacted by World Kitchen to design and provide a natural ventilation system to correspond with a new furnace upgrade.
Equipment was produced at Moffitt Fan, located in LeRoy, NY only 90 miles from World Kitchen facility. The equipment was then installed by Moffitt Mechanical, providing World Kitchen with a single source turn-key system.
Moffitt Mechanical was able to install the vent on the roof without removing the roof sheeting until installation was complete; this installation took place within approximately 22 work days. Moffitt erected the wind band frames at ground level and then used a CG crane to hoist and set base frames.
This Continuous Relief Vent is the largest vent Moffitt manufactures and assembles. This unique design approach allowed furnace work to continue within the facility without concern of outdoor elements entering facility or safety hazard from work occurring directly above heads.

Client: Greene County Power
Application: Steam Electric Plant
Location: Greene County, LA
Equipment Summary:
Ten (10) Labyrinth Natural Ventilators - 12’ × 15’
Thirty (30) Extruded Aluminum Stationary Wall Louvers 4’ × 4’
Project Profile:
Greene County Power is an Electric Generating Plant that utilized the Moffitt Labyrinth and stationary blade wall louvers to ventilate it’s facility. Moffitt designed, supplied and installed the ventilation system for this Alabama turn-key project in the winter of 2010.
Moffitt had a small window to complete this project. The installation team put in louvers and safely mounted the roof top vents on this 3/12-pitched roof and ahead of a tight construction schedule; even in inclement weather conditions.
“Moffitt delivered the ventilation equipment and materials ahead of schedule. The installation crew completed the project ahead of schedule, with excellent quality and safety consciousness. The crew endured the cold, wind, rain, snow and an evacuation drill and still beat the schedule safely. The combination of roof ventilators and wall louvers has noticeably increased the air flow in the buildings as well as making the buildings look better.”
