Application: Data Center
Location: Quincy, Washington
Equipment Summary
Labyrinth - Natural Ventilator
(1) 144” wide x 120’ long
(12) 8’-6” wide x 63’-1” long
Project Profile:
Moffitt Corporation was approached bya local engineer and a local contractor toventilate a new data center in Quincy,Washington. Data centers produce alot of heat, without proper ventilation itcould be detrimental to the data hostersand the clients they serve.
The Labyrinth is one of many naturalventilation products that Moffitt offers. Itwas ideal for this project due to high airflow coefficient and its lightweightdesign. The Labyrinth is constructed ofaluminum, limiting the impact on the roofstructure.
Don’t let a lack of ventilation become afailure error. Let Moffitt design theventilation on your data center, it’s theNatural solution.

Project Profile
Moffitt has completed many projects for Severstal. From new construction to retrofit projects there is only one ventilation company for this Mississippi mill. Moffitt has the capabilities to handle projects beginning to end.
With design services from Moffitt Corporation, production from Moffitt Fan and installation provided by Moffitt Mechanical, Moffitt does it all. All projects completed for Severstal have been turn-key operations.
This plant in Columbus, MS was the first plant where Moffitt utilized Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the design process. CFD is a computer program that predicts flows and transfer of energy within a building as well as using thermal imaging to identify heat sources. This allows Moffitt to more accurately determine where the heat is and how to best ventilate the building.
“In my past 20 years of Steel Mill Construction and being around the Steel Mills I haven’t put in anything besides Moffitt Ventilators.” -Severstal’s Construction Manager, Jim Bell
Client: World Kitchen
Application: Manufacturing Plant
Location: Corning, NY
Project Summary
Retrofit project completed in 22 days with minimal disruption of production.
(1) CRV 110”-0” run of 180” size
(35) Wall Louvers - Average 121.88 sq. ft.
Project Profile:
The World Kitchen facility in Corning, NY manufactures dinnerware, baking accessories and glassware. This process produces extreme amounts of heat that need to be ventilated from the building. Moffitt was contacted by World Kitchen to design and provide a natural ventilation system to correspond with a new furnace upgrade.
Equipment was produced at Moffitt Fan, located in LeRoy, NY only 90 miles from World Kitchen facility. The equipment was then installed by Moffitt Mechanical, providing World Kitchen with a single source turn-key system.
Moffitt Mechanical was able to install the vent on the roof without removing the roof sheeting until installation was complete; this installation took place within approximately 22 work days. Moffitt erected the wind band frames at ground level and then used a CG crane to hoist and set base frames.
This Continuous Relief Vent is the largest vent Moffitt manufactures and assembles. This unique design approach allowed furnace work to continue within the facility without concern of outdoor elements entering facility or safety hazard from work occurring directly above heads.
