The Solution Is Often Supply Air! |
The most common reaction to improve a heat problem in a plant
is to add exhaust fans to draw the heat out of the building.
In this case, the existing exhaust fans and the gravity ventilation
systems were providing adequate exhaust.
The other part of the ventilation equation, however, is supply air.
Adequate supply air is often over-looked in industrial applications
and is the solution to ventilation problems on a high percentage
of retrofit applications. If adequate and evenly distributed supply air
is not introduced into the space then ventilation improvement will not be realized.
