Description:
Moffitt Corporation was contacted for engineering
assistance for a re-roof project at Marquette Prison. The Marquette Prison is a
Historical Landmark that has been in operation for over 100years. Ventilation
desire for this re-roof project was to replace existing cupolas with higher
efficient turbine technology while maintaining a historical look to the
facility.

Description:
Guardian produces float glass in molten tin for
the automotive industry. Production temperatures in these plants can be in
excess of 2000ºF. This is the latest in a long line of successful ventilation
projects between Moffitt Corporation and Guardian Industries.

Description:
Georgia Power replaced existing LPV’s that had
been in service since 1974. LPV replacement was part of a larger re-roof
project for the lower roof of their turbine facility. Moffitt Corporation was
responsible for dismantling, removal and lowering of existing LPV’s from 95’
elevation to grade and installation of new LPV’s to existing roof curbs.

Moffitt Series LPV Low Profile Gravity Ventilators
(36) 10’-0” wide x 22’-6” long, mill finish galvanized with manual roof
operated dampers and bird screen.

Description:
TVA had numerous powered exhaust fans that were
either no longer operable or that maintenance was becoming too costly to
maintain. TVA received information on Moffitt Corporation through our frequent
product mailings and decided to get a recommendation from our engineering team.
After careful consideration TVA decided to replace (22) existing fans with
non-powered turbine technology. This change provided TVA with a $17,000.00
yearly savings in energy consumption cost.

Ventilators with roof mounted operators and special fabricated curb caps to fit
existing roof curbs.

Description:
Gravity outlet for manufacturing operations that
produce various types of paperboard products including kraft liner, white top
liner, corrugating medium and kraft paper for bag end uses.
Equipment:
Specialty designed penthouse fabricated entirely
in aluminum construction with chain pull operation from the outside of the
penthouse. Roof attachment details were coordinated between Moffitt Corporation
and Contractor.

Description:
Gary Works, U. S. Steel’s largest manufacturing
plant, is situated on approximately 3,000 acres on the south shore of Lake
Michigan. Comprised of both steel making and finishing facilities, Gary Works
is one of five integrated steel making facilities U. S. Steel operates in the
United States. Sheet products, hot strip mill plate products, and tin products
are manufactured at Gary Works. Hot rolled, cold rolled, and galvanized sheet
products are produced for customers in the automotive, metal building
components, home construction and appliance markets.
Equipment:
(2) Moffitt Series HT380-233 direct gas fired make
up air units, 75,000CFM with ETL Listing and numerous other options as
requested by project engineer. MUA’s are for Coke packaging facilities.
